from Blogger to WordPress

Well. I love open source software when it’s mature, so it was just weird that I had my blog on Blogger. Especially since -to say the least- I have not been impressed with Blogger’s downtimes and numerous blunders. It definitely shows that it was acquired and not home-grown. It’s also an opportunity for me to try out a new way of mixing a blog and pages in the same site, which will come in handy when I launch my new site. Stay tuned.

Just wanted to comment on my own post (!) to mention that I am happy with the result, with the notable exception of… the high variance in WordPress’s technical support response time.

Just an update: this is still in Beta, as I still haven’t figured out how to use the same navigation bar as the rest of the site. WordPress.com limits the themes you can use. If you have hints on how to solve this, shoot me an email!
